Who you are buying from, and where it ships from
OligoDirect is an American brand. The company you contract with, and pay, is our Hong Kong selling entity — set out below. Brand and selling entity being in different places is the ordinary shape of an international supplier, and we would rather you read it here than discover it on the invoice.
You contract with, and pay, our Hong Kong selling entity. It is named in full on the proforma invoice you receive before any payment is due, together with the bank details. The registered name is not on this page yet; when it is, you will be able to look it up in the Hong Kong Companies Registry, and we would rather put it here than have you take our word for it.
Payment is made to a Hong Kong bank account in USD. We say so here rather than letting it arrive as a surprise on the invoice: the brand is American, the company that sells to you is in Hong Kong, and those are two different things by design — the same way most international suppliers are set up.
Orders to Asia-Pacific destinations are dispatched from Hong Kong. Orders to all other destinations are dispatched from the point of manufacture.
Country of origin is declared on the commercial invoice for each lot, according to where it was manufactured. Dispatching from Hong Kong does not change it, and being an American brand does not make the goods American-made.
Placing an order does not commit you to it. We confirm what we can make, add shipping and any duties, and send you the total in writing; if it is not what you expected you withdraw at that point and owe nothing. Nothing is charged before you have agreed to a figure.
Terms of sale
Everything supplied by OligoDirect is for research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, and not for administration to humans or animals.
Prices on this site are list prices in USD. They exclude shipping, duties and local taxes. The price confirmed on your order is the price that applies to that order, even if the list changes afterwards.
Custom-synthesised products are made to your sequence and cannot be resold, so they are not returnable, with one exception: if a lot misses its stated QC specification we remake it and ship the replacement free of charge, with no evidence required and no need to return the original — or refund it, whichever you prefer. "Stated QC specification" means the figures printed on that lot’s COA: measured mass within ±0.1%% of theoretical, quantitation within ±15%%. Sequence-fixed catalogue items can be returned within 30 days in unopened original packaging.
You are responsible for confirming that your sequence and its intended use are lawful where you are. We screen orders against controlled sequence lists and will decline anything we cannot lawfully supply.
Payment is due in full before dispatch. We do not offer credit accounts or payment terms. A purchase order number supplied with an order is reproduced on the invoice for your records; it does not create a credit arrangement. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Privacy
We collect what is needed to quote, make, ship and invoice: your name, institution, email, delivery address, the sequences you order, and whatever tax identifiers your jurisdiction requires.
We do not sell personal data and it does not go to advertising networks. It is shared with the manufacturing, courier and payment providers who have to see it to fill the order, and with nobody else.
Write to support@oligodirect.com and we will send you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Accounting records and the QC traceability of a shipped lot are kept for the statutory period; those we cannot delete early.
No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. Request logs are kept for security and capacity planning.
