Unmodified oligos are priced per base at the yield you receive, desalted, which is what most PCR and sequencing work needs. Anything carrying a dye, a quencher or an attachment group costs the synthesis plus that modification — a phosphate and a Cy5 are not the same job, so they are not the same price.
